JOHN DEERE TURF EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC - Portland, Oregon
We are currently seeking a Technician specializing in John Deere Turf Equipment at our Portland, OR branch. We have a position with an awesome opportunity for an individual who is a TEAM player. Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for diagnosing and repairing John Deere turf equipment
  • Travel to golf courses, complexes and/or businesses in order to assist customers and address concerns, as needed
  • Maintain all equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties in shop and property maintenance
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent work flow
  • Help maintain and support safety policies
  • Maintain paperwork documentation
  • Working conditions can vary throughout the day; it can be cold, cool, warm, hot, wet, dry and/or dusty at times
  • Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers
  • May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Knowledge and Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience as a diesel technician (automotive, truck or lawn equipment) or verifiable training. John Deere equipment experience preferred, but not required.
  • Basic set of tools
  • You must be in good physical condition; you will be required to continuously lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of your shift, this position will require heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis
  • Current driver's license and reliable means of transportation and must be insurable

FACILITY HELPER - SHIPPING/RECEIVING, DELIVERY, SERVICE SHOP - Snohomish, Washington
Pacific Golf & Turf is currently seeking a Facility Helper for our Snohomish, WA branch. This is a full-time position and is an awesome opportunity for an individual who is a TEAM player. Job Description:
  • Prepare parts for shipping
  • Arrange and manage freight shipments with outside freight companies
  • Document shipments of golf cars and turf equipment that leave our facility (complete shipping documents including serial numbers and other important information)
  • Receive parts that come into our facility from freight companies – document and verify quantities and condition
  • Receive Equipment – golf cars, and turf equipment that arrive on our trucks and outside carriers – document serial numbers, condition, damages, and any other important information
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks – must be able to operate a forklift and get certification
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Assist the parts and service departments, as needed
  • Manage the warehouse for organization, cleanliness, attention to detail, etc.
  • Deliver equipment to customers in Company provided vehicle as assigned
  • Pick-up equipment from customers as assigned
  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent work flow
  • Help support safety policies
Knowledge and Requirements:
  • Ideal applicant will have at least 1 year of work experience in shipping/receiving
  • Knowledge of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities and shipping methods that are required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, is required
  • Forklift driving experience required
  • Delivery driving experience of at least 1 year, preferred
  • Must be an organized individual, that can multi-task
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Must be in good physical condition; you will be required to lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of your shift, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. This position will require lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis.
  • Current driver's license, with clean driving record and must be insurable
  • Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers

Successful candidate will be an outgoing and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with customers and developing new customer relationships. We are looking for someone that is a TEAM player who is honest, dependable, organized, motivated and a self-starter for this position.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Sell parts for all associated product lines to customers calling or walking into the store
  • Fill parts requests for service technicians and salesman
  • Use computerized inventory systems, parts libraries and cad drawings to look up and process parts orders
  • Order parts from suppliers and communicate lead times
  • Participate in rolling inventory checks
  • Assist in shipping and receiving duties
  • Speak clearly and persuasively in a positive manner when interacting with customers
  • Must be willing to work 40 hours per week and longer hours as required to meet customer and seasonal demands
  • Assist in keeping parts department clean, including desk, warehouse, shipping receiving, etc.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualification Requirements:
  • Two years of automotive parts experience preferred, but not required
  • John Deere equipment parts experience a plus
  • HS diploma, college degree a plus
  • General office skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, typing 45 wpm and general knowledge of a 10-key calculator CRT/Data Entry
  • Aspen business system experience a plus
  • Clean driving record and insurable
  • Ability to lift weight of up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds on occasion
  • Ability to solve practical problems and ability to read/interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
