We are currently seeking a Golf Cart Mobile Technician for the Portland, Oregon area. This is a full time position and is an awesome opportunity for an individual who is a TEAM player. Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:
- Responsible for diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of golf carts
- Travel to golf courses by company vehicle, and to complexes and/or businesses in order to assist customers and address concerns
- Maintain all equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition
- Maintain general housekeeping duties in shop and property maintenance
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent work flow
- Help maintain and support safety policies
- Maintain paperwork documentation
- Working conditions can vary throughout the day; it can be cold, cool, warm, hot, wet, dry and/or dusty at times
- Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers
- Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge and Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a technician (automotive or lawn equipment) or verifiable training, golf industry preferred but not required
- Basic set of tools
- You must be in good physical condition; you will be required to continuously lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of your shift, this position will require heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis
- Current driver's license and reliable means of transportation and must be insurable.
Compensation: Wage $23 - $25 per hour DOE

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: To oversee the daily operations of the service department, working directly with the employees to ensure they have the necessary skills, training, and tools to perform their job. In addition, provide quality customer service for all branch transactions.
General Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and do what is necessary to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Bring a positive attitude/energy that promotes a team-oriented work environment through clear communication and a desire for the business to succeed.

Assists and supervises technicians, including inspection and review of work to assure quality job performance.

Assists with troubleshooting equipment problems, makes recommendations for effective repair path, as needed.

Monitor shop performance, WIP, technician efficiency and other reporting as required by management and approve technician times.

Oversee that the facility is a clean and safe work area.

Coordinate efforts between the Parts, Service & Sales Departments to ensure that equipment is repaired or prepped for delivery in an efficient, and timely manner.

Oversee Service Advisors and admin staff to ensure the department is operating at an optimal level.
-
Aid in scheduling and coordinating service appointments based on nature of complaint and shop capacity.
-
Ensure a high level of customer service is being upheld and if not, work to resolve customer concerns.

Assist in receiving equipment – golf cars, and turf equipment that arrive on our trucks and outside carriers – document serial numbers, condition, damages, and any other important information.

Assist in loading and unloading trucks – must be able to operate a forklift and get certified.

Work with Director of Service to achieve branch goals.
-
May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualification Requirements:
-
HS diploma or equivalent with Trade School Tech certification; College degree a plus
-
Three years’ experience as a Manager or Service Manager in either an equipment or automotive service shop
-
Quality customer service & leadership skills a must
-
General office skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, typing 45 wpm, and general knowledge of a 10-key calculator CRT/Data Entry.

Forklift experience

Ability to lift a weight of 50lbs or more, on occasion.

Ability to solve practical problems and ability to read/interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

- Prepare and present sales / leasing proposals to customers. Negotiate and achieve agreements. Manage sales documentation.
- Conduct Product demonstrations presenting features and benefits of products as compared to competitive products.
- Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share
- Log key performance interactions (KPI’s) such as customer visits, presentations, and demos in Salesforce daily, and meet KPI activity goals.
- Sell / Lease equipment working with Parts / Service Associates to be a customer solution and build long term relationships with assigned accounts to maximize customer and company profitability.
- Manage Lease Portfolio to ensure that all leases are renewed prior to expiration and we replace new equipment on lease with new equipment.
- Manage and control sales related expenses
- Meet or exceed Company targets for units, dollars and gross profit
- Keep accurate and up to date call logs, prospect lists and mileage information
- Provide status report to sales manager as to achievement of goals and objectives
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals
- Provide feedback to other departments
- Maintain a customer database including contact information and other vital customer information.
- Make frequent opportunity calls and generate new customers
Qualification Requirements:
Must also have mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn how to operate equipment, diagnose product issues and perform minor adjustments / repairs.
Training will be provided related to products, sales process, pricing / leasing, customer needs, etc.
Education: college degree is preferred.

• Answer phone calls directed to the service department and follow up with customers in a professional manner• Schedule and coordinate service appointments with Branch Manager assistance
• Review & process technician notes. Ensure accuracy and that notes are presented in a way that is easy to understand
• Preparing service quotes and relay to customers with Branch Manager assistance
• Open, review, and close repair orders. Ensure accuracy and file warranty claims
• Follow up on shorted warranty claims and recover as much as possible with Branch Manager assistance
• Monitor recalls from manufacturers and ensure compliance

General Duties/Responsibilities:

• Golf cart and non-John Deere turf equipment experience a plus
• Experience driving while towing a trailer, preferred
